While Halloween is most certainly NOT a popular (or observed) holiday in Italy, it has become more and more popular over recent years, probably attracted to the mystery of this odd hoiliday by its depiction in many films.

For the most part, Italians that celebrate Halloween only celebrate the Trick or Treat tradition. However, this town takes it a step further.

San Lorenzo Nuovo's town square puts on a Halloween party with food, drink, adults in costume, etc. They even have pumpkin carving contests for the kids.
