What better place to spend Valentine's Day than the birthplace of St. Valentine himself?

Terni, which is roughly 20 minutes from Soriano, was the birthplace of St. Valentine, who was their bishop in the 2nd century BC. Saint Valentine has since been named Terni's patron saint, as well.

All of February is dedicated to festivities in his honor, and to lovers worldwide. They present shows, theater, stands, conferences and much more. The further have a chocolate festival within the festival!

Every February 14th, a festival in honor of Saint Valentine takes place around the Basilica in which is remains are entombed.
