What are the advantages over a hotel? PDF Print E-mail

For some people, a hotel is better. Some people want to travel and see everything from a tour bus seat, while others want to really get in and experience places they travel to. It really depends what kind of person you are and what youare looking for.

You are probably better off staying in big city hotels if:

  • If you are going to Italy and just want to see the famous sights and take pictures of yourself in front of major monuments.
  • If you prefer a more urban setting, and like city chaos.
  • If you want to take tour busses and taxis to the sights you will see, and you don't want to rent a car.
  • If you are more interested in museums and famous monuments, and less interested in getting a feel for the real Italian culture.
  • If you would rather stay ina place that is mroe like a Hilton in Manhattan than a cottage in Aspen.
  • If you want room service, or want more Americanized versions of Italian food in restaurants.
  • If you want to be close to a McDonald's.

You are probably better off staying in one of our homes if:

  • If you want to stay ina central location that is close to many of the major sights, and make day trips and half day trips to see them.
  • If you don't mind driving a rental car, or taking the train.
  • If you prefer a more natural setting.
  • If you want to immerse yourself in the real culture.
  • If you want to also see the more intriguing sights that you wouldn't otherwise see on an organized tour.
  • If you want to be able to cook for yourself, or prefer eating in local restaurants where the locals eat.
  • If you don't want to see a McDonald's
