How do I get from the train station to The Vatican by subway? PDF Print E-mail

When you are in the central train station (called ‘Roma Termini’), just walk to the subway lines and take the main line and get on. The stop you will get off at is called ‘Ottaviano-San Pietro’. The stops you will see before it are:

  • Termini (The train station where you get on)
  • Republica
  • Barberini (This would be the closest stop for the Trevi Fountain The Pantheon, and Via Veneto)
  • Spagna (Right by The Spanish Steps)
  • Flaminio
  • Lepanto
  • Ottaviano-San Pietro (The Vatican)

Once you get off of the subway at Ottaviano-San Pietro, there are some signs. But you simply walk down Via Ottaviano to the south and you will walk right into St. Peter’s after about 4 blocks.
