Italy has most of the same basic sodas and cold beverages you find at home, plus some unique beverages made just for the Italian market. Here is a list that includes SOME of what you will find, and some of wgat you will not find:
Coke:
They have Coke and Diet Coke (Called Coca Cola Free). You will not find all of the varieties of Coke you may be accustomed to, such as Black Cherry, Vanilla, etc.
Pepsi:
Pepsi is very rare and difficult to find in Italy.
Fanta:
Every country has unique flavors of Fanta. For example, in the U.S., we have Classic Orange, Grape, Pineapple and Strawberry. In Italy, they have Classic Orange (Aranciata), Sour Orange (Arancia Amara), Lemon (Icy Gusto Limone), Blood Orange (Fanta Red Emotion - My favorite!!!), Grapefruit (Pompelmo), Diet Orange (Free Orange), and one other called Chinotto. Chinotto is a traditional Italian beverage made from a unique type of orange. The flavor is unlike anything else, but I would say it most closely resembles a mix between Root Beer and Dr. Pepper.
7-Up & Sprite
Found everywhere. They also have Sprite Free (Diet)
Dr. Pepper
There is no Dr. Pepper in Italy, but people that like it usually find that they really enjoy Chinotto.
Root Beer
There is no Root Beer in Italy, but people that like it usually find that they really enjoy Chinotto.
Iced Tea:
You will find 'Cold Tea' everywhere, but not iced. Their Cold Tea is always pre-sweetened, and often mixed with either lemon or some flower essence, such as jasmine or cammomile. Consider it more like a Snapple-style drink.
Club Soda
You will find Club Soda in some places, but considering that Italy is probably the world capital of mineral water, there really isn't a market for Club Soda.
