The Experience

When we started Discover Soriano, we didn’t want to simply provide vacation rentals. We wanted to share in a place that we truly love. We decided to make staying with us a once in a lifetime experience. Here is a small sampling of what you can expect when you rent one of our homes:
Before you go to Italy (or come to the area)
We will make sure you have detailed information about how to get to Soriano, as well as what to bring. We will give you a link to an area of our website with all kinds of information to help you plan your trip for the best experience. We will get to know some of your likes and dislikes so that when you arrive, your vacation home will be prepared exactly the way you like it.
When you arrive
You will be greeted by one of our friends in the town square who will be your contact during your stay. If you have chosen to get a cell phone from us, they will provide you with it, then take you up to your home and assist you with parking. We will have someone bring your bags to you.
You will walk through the medieval quarter of the village to get to your home (it is only a few hundred feet away), and we will have provided you with a map of the quarter so you can find it later when you go out on your own.
As you enter your home, you will find that it has just been thoroughly cleaned that day with fresh linens appropriate for the time of year. Your beds will have been turned down for you.
On the kitchen table...
You will find fresh flowers, along with a welcome basket that includes fresh fruit, local wine, local olive oil, and some other goodies. You will also find freshly baked local pastries waiting for you.
In the refrigerator...
You will find fresh milk, some drinks, bottled water, and a few other necessities.
On the counter...
You will find fresh bread that was baked in the local bakery that morning, as well as coffee (both American and Italian), sugar, etc. You will also find a small recipe book which contains family recipes that you may wish to try yourself. We have even included a shopping list for each recipe with directions to the various stores that sell fresh ingredients.
Plus modern comforts of home...
Each home has free broadband Internet with WIFI, Satellite Television with many channels in English, Air Conditioning, DVD Player, American and Italian coffee machines, and much more. Most homes even have a computer with many popular programs installed.
Once you are settled
If you ever need any assistance, you will always be able to find or call your main contact. They are there to help you when you need them.
When you leave
You simply drop the keys off with your contact, but be sure to leave a little extra room in your luggage, as they will not allow you to leave without a gift to remember them by.
Don’t be surprised if you find yourself leaving Soriano having made new friends. More often than not, the goodbyes will be accompanied by smiles, hugs and an exchange of contact information. The Sorianese are just that warm.
